Team Invitational Cancelled

Everyone, I’m canceling the NC Team Invitational. I’m rescheduling the End of Season In House Tournament and was limited on some dates based on birthdays, other special events, fencers moving and summer break. The end of season will now be scheduled on Friday and Saturday, June 3-4. On Friday, June 3, 2011 at 6PM, we will have the youth tournament (Ages 7-12). We will also have our End of Season ‘party’. I will bring food and drinks for everyone. We invite everyone to come out and be a part of that afternoon. For some of our fencers, it will be the last time they will be at our club before moving as well. On Saturday, Jun 4, 2011 at 10AM, we will have the teen/adult tournament (Ages 13+). USFA is not required and registration is $10 per person. I’ll post this online soon.

Jon Charles is back in town! For those who don’t know Jon Charles (and most won’t), he fenced and helped coach the All-American Fencing Academy when we were still on post. He hails from California and fenced for Penn State. He’s in town for the next 6 months and will hopefully be by some nights.

Favero Trainer Has Been Ordered!

The All-American Fencing Academy was taking donations to get a new Favero Fencing Trainer and we’d like to thank all our generous donators! The Favero Fencing Trainer is a target trainer that provides our fencers with various training games to build skills such as reaction speed, proper arm extension, accuracy and more. It’s fun and helpful to fencers. With everyone’s help, we’re able to purchase this state of the art trainer for all our fencers to utilize. It has been ordered and should arrive and be installed in the fencing academy soon. Thank you to our contributors: Cicchini Family, Esteban Muniz, Paz Family, Miranda Family, Jeff Nolen, Dobbins Family, Larson Family, Mahaney Family, Minton Family, White Family, LeBrun Family and Santini Family. I think that’s everyone, if I missed you, please forgive me! Let me know and I’ll make sure you are recognized as well.
